The attachment in this post shows the hierarchy of the 61st Cavalry Regiment. A brief outline of the responsibilities for each position are as follows (in descending order):
Commanding Officer: Clan leader. Invites new members to the 61st. Member of the counsel.
Executive Officer: Second in command. Responsible for tracking bounties and promoting members. Member of the counsel.
Master at Arms: Ensures compliance with the code of conduct. Addresses immediate concerns. Counsels members on unacceptable behavior. May remove members for conduct violations. Member of the counsel.
Adjutant: Responsible for welcoming and training new recruits (if necessary). Assigns new members to battalions, companies, and platoons. Maintains the roster. Member of the counsel.
Command Sergeant Major: Morale officer. Ensures all member concerns are heard and brought to the attention of the CO, XO, MaT, and Adj as necessary. Member of the counsel.
Battalion Commanding Officers: Responsible for overseeing the company and platoon commanding officers. Ensures compliance with the code of conduct and communicates with the Master at Arms as needed. Brings the general concerns of his battalion to the regimental counsel. Member of the counsel. This position is elected by the Company Commanding Officers and approved by the regimental counsel.
Company Commanding Officers: Responsible for overseeing the platoon commanders to ensure compliance with the code of conduct. Handles platoon level conflict as needed and advises the battalion CO of any problems which need to be addressed. This position is elected by the Platoon Commanding Officers and approved by the regimental counsel.
Platoon Commanding Officers: Oversees his or her individual platoon. Informs the Company Commanding Officer of any issues which need to be addressed. Responsible for platoon training and cohesion. This position is elected by the individual platoon members.
Platoon Members: Full members of the 61st Cavalry Regiment who adhere to the code of conduct, promote group growth, and are active within the 61st (platooning, forum posts, etc).
